As a wife and a working mom of four, I often feel stretched in a million different directions. Even with all of my competing priorities, there is one that I put at the top of my list and that is instilling the value of goal planning in my children.
- You want to start a successful YouTube Channel? Let’s make a plan.
- You want to earn money for summer camp? Let’s make a plan.
- You want to grow up to be a comedian? Let’s make a plan!
I work hard, and I didn’t get to where I am in life by accident. I want nothing more than to model that for my kids as well as show them the ropes. After all, isn’t it our job as parents to teach them the skills they need to be successful?
Teaching children how to goal plan teaches them critical thinking, organization, how to plan and confidence. It also teaches kids that nothing is impossible and that they can achieve any goal they set their mind to. Don’t you agree that raising the next generation into strong, capable, hard working and confident adults is something that we can all get behind? Then what are you waiting for?
